Brooke's Long Winded Directions on How to Get to the Library

From the Mass Pike

Take the Mass Pike to Exit 2, Route 20 Lee and Pittsfield
Make a right after going through the toll plaza.

This road (Route 20 and 7 bundled into one) will take sundry twists and turns, but stay on her.

You'll pass the Lee Library on the right.

You'll go over some railroad tracks.

You'll even pass the Cranwell resort.

Say hello to Lee, Lenox and Pittsfield on the way here.

When you reach Pittsfield, 20 and 7 will file for divorce right near Ben and Jerry's. You want to come down on the 7 side of the fence.

There will be a half baked rotary just past the Berkshire Museum.

Very quickly, take a right on East Street and then an IMMEDIATE LEFT onto First Street out of the rotary.

(You just passed the Berkshire Athenaeum on the right, but this would have happened too quickly for you to notice.)

Mind the Dunkin'Donuts deathtrap traffic loggerheads.

Just like that sultry Route 20, you'll be taking your leave of Route 7 for Route 9. Make a right onto Tyler by the Shell station.

You'll be on 9 for a good bit. Diretto, diretto, sempre diretto.

Pass the Car wash and the Co Op, the road will now split into a 4 lane carriageway.
As you approach the bridge, you want to be in the right lane, but you don't want to drift further right at the intersection, because you're still going straight.

The right lane will turn into the middle lane, which will turn into the left lane. Go with it.

You will leave Pittsfield behind in favour of Dalton as you pass a whole mess of brick Crane & Co. buildings.

You're getting closer, I promise.

After the Mobil and the Cumberland Farms, the road will split into Routes 9 and 8. Bear right to take Route 8.

Bear hard right at Wahconah High School, then bear a slightly left to stay on Route 8.

Carefully drive past Nessacus Middle school at the caution blinker, staying straight on Route 8.

Things are going to get windy and woodsy, or as I like to put it "Fun." (Akin to the WMRLS driveway, but hilly.)

Just when you're certain that I've played a terrible prank on you, there will be a small Hinsdale sign on the right.

Keep going straight past the Riverside Trading Company and Wetherell's Garage.

The Library is at the corner of Routes 8 and 143 at the only traffic light in town.

Just park right in front of the Library, or down the street on the far side of the Post Office.
